I was on reddit and then there was someone that randomly mentioned me and i clicked on the notification and it showed me a link. I was thankfully smart enough to not click on it but will my phone get hacked or will there be a virus on it? Thanks!

No. Even if you clicked on the link, it's unlikely that anyone could have done more than try to get you to give them personal information. But since you didn't click on the link, even that risk is removed.
