Aperture will launch and browse on an M2 Air running Ventura

This is informational. It's helpful if you'd like browse and old Aperture Library.

Much to my shock Aperture will launch and browse on an M1 or M2 Air running Ventura 13.6. I have not tried Sonoma. It won't run on an Intel machine running Monterey so shocked is kind of an understatement.

Over the past year I migrated a 600GB Aperture Library to Photos.app including merging with a 30GB Photos.app system library. Being able to browse Aperture is very helpful for validating the migration and for working around limitations of Photos.app. I have not tried to use Aperture other than for browsing and search. (The Library I'm browsing is locked so should not be editable.)

This may be helpful for some.

PS. Aperture on an M2 Air is much faster than Aperture on my 7yo Intel Air running Mojave (that machine now runs Monterey and Aperture will not launch).
