Programming custom keyboard

I recently bought a really nice special keyboard from eBay. It only has 5 keys, since it is made to be used for rhythm games of current year. Currently the keys are assigned to 12345, and what I want to do is to reassign them to other letters on the keyboard (preferably df and jk). Is there a way that I can properly program these custom keys on Macbook?

MacBook Pro key replacement Is it possible to swap out the keys on a A2289 MacBook Pro as it began to overheat which caused the keys to reshape and now when typing it feels very off so I was wondering if its possible to change them out without a full keyboard replacement

Macos detected wrong keyboard layout I'm using an external Logitech keyboard with a German layout but MacOS wrongly identified it as the '<' key (normally next to the left shift key) and the '^' key are switched in position, which is very annoying as a programmer. I find proposed solutions for this problem by restarting the keyboard detection wizard but to do this I would have to delete the 'com.apple.keyboardtype.plist' file in Library/preferences/ but can't find it on my MacBook. I also can't find any other way to change to the correct layout (The correct layout is not an option when trying to add a new input layout)
