I have a Macbook, but use an Android phone. Texts between my wife (iPhone) and me usually go fine. Yesterday, she added me to her Apple family share. That invite didn't come through as a text but through iMessage on my MacBook.
Since then, her texts to me don't come to my phone, but go to my Macbook. I can text her no problem, but anything she sends me goes to iMessage on my MacBook.
Any idea how to get her texts coming back to my phone?
I'm having the exact same issue, and it started around March 12th, 2024. It wasn't triggered by Family Share.
To clarify, I have a Macbook Pro and an Android phone. My family member has an iPhone. Previously, her messages came through without issues. Now they only go to my Mac. She can still receive the messages that I send.
I did previously have an iPhone, but I've already confirmed that my number isn't registered in iMessage. It may, however, be your issue. If you previously had an iPhone, make sure your number is deregistered from iMessage by going here:
