WhatsApp pics are appearing duplicated on Photos on iPhone

I thought it was my phone! Seems most of them have same issue! Doubling WhatsApp photos in the gallery! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

i have the same problem, what can i do?

How to update:

1/ Go into the ‘App Store’

2/ Click on your profile pic (top corner)

3/ Scroll down until you find ‘WhatsApp’

4/ Hold your finger on the WhatsApp icon (do not click open)

5/ Another window should appear with an update button visible. Click this and you’re done 👍

Same thing happening with me since last 3 days on my iphone 15 pro max as well

Yes same thing. Any photo coming on whatsapp is getting stored twice on my camera roll. Since last 2-3 days

Relieved I’m not alone. Thought I was going mad. Come on WhatsApp/Apple any solution please? It’s a pain.

I don’t think it is because of IOS update as I am facing this issue before updating to 17.4

I guess it's more of a "WhatsApp" problem rather than iOS. I'm using iPhone 13mini with iOS 17.3

I'm facing the same issue from a few days back. Hate it how every single time I have to delete the duplicates.

I am also facing same issue on i15 while downloading any photos from WhatsApp, duplicate Photos appearing on iPhone gallery, i spoke with apple support, they asked me to follow below instruction:

1. Switch off and on phone (Problem Not Solved)
2. Reinstall whats app (Problem Not Solved)

Anyone knows if Apple reads these posts ? Gut feeling they would tell us to contact WhatsApp

since yesterday i been facing the same issue,
