WhatsApp pics are appearing duplicated on Photos on iPhone

Waste of time with WhatsApp clearly never read what I sent .

Apple give us some response or talk to WhatsApp !

Same thing is happening to my phone as well , this started after updating to new iOS .

same thing happen on my ip 12 mini after update ios 17.4 yesterday.before update ok but after update all whatsapp image save twice

There is a new update of whatsapp available on app store now, which resolves this issue.

issue is FIXED by Whatsapp recent update 24.5.75. just upload recent update from WhatsApp .

Thank You so much for posting this. Only noticed this issue the past 3 days. Some photos can be deleted using “delete duplicate photos”. But it still so much work. And not every single photos were detected. Some manage to escape the duplicate detection. I’ve trying to troubleshoot up to deleting and reinstalling whatsapp on my iphone, thinking that i messed up settings.

Once you update WhatsApp the issue is resolved.

although it may look like no update is available, search in the App Store for what’s app, click on the words “what’s app” and there will be an update button there.
