Does icloud also sync if you log into only app store with an apple id?

Depends on exactly where you logged in with your friend's Apple ID.

If you logged in to Settings ➜ Apple ID ➜ Media & Purchases, the no, the iCloud would not have been synced in any way.

If you logged in in any other place, like directly in the Apple ID section rather than Media & Purchases, then yes, the iCloud account would have been synced.

Also note, that your account may be banned from logging back into your device for 90 days even if you did log in to Media & Purchases, since you downloaded an app with his Apple ID and by extension associated your device to it.
