Cursor on my MacBook Pro with macOS Sonoma malfunctioning.

I am having an issue where the cursor often gets stuck as the wrong icon until I click on something or hover over something where the cursor should change. It doesn't happen every time, but when I'm moving my mouse around, sometimes the cursor will be wrong. For example, in Finder, it was the resize icon when it should've been the default pointer icon.

This is a duplicate because I saw another post having the same problem on a different version, but it was old and couldn't be responded to. I don't believe I have anything that would do this on my computer, I think it's just a bug.

I'm on macOS Sonoma 14.3.1 (23D60). Furthermore, I just got this MacBook Pro about a month ago. This problem isn't really destructive, if you want to put it that way, it's just annoying.

this often happens when you move the cursor or switching between apps rapidly. every time when this happens, you can just click on things that could make the cursor icon change, and it would be as usual.
