Gmail on Macbook air 13 and Google all missing

I have 2 gmail accounts. Both Gmail account folders are empty. This involves 5 years of emails.emails).

I checked and both Google mailboxes are empty as well. I am the only one who has access to my laptop. This happened shortly after updating to Sonoma 14.3. Whenever I deleted an email it would go to Archive and when I tried to delete from archive it would reappear in Archive. I mostly use the mousepad and worried that I might have hit the wrong option. Is this a simple fix? I would truly appreciate help in a form that this senior lady would be able to handle.

Bonnie,

The fastest thing to try would be to:

  • Delete both Gmail accounts in Apple Mail
  • Add one account back into Apple Mail (and see if it populates with your emails)
  • Add the other account back into Apple Mail
