how to unlink trash bins on two separate Macs
I don't want trash from older laptop showing up on new laptop how do I do that?
Most likely due to iCloud. You actually have 2 trash bins, one accessible via the dock and the other is hidden .trash under the iCloud Drive folder "CMD SHIFT ." to see the hidden files and folders. So, if files that are not initially located within iCloud Drive (say, your downloads folder) are put in the trash, then emptied, your other computer will not see this. But if you trash files initially located on iCloud, then both computers trash folders will be used... you can empty that trash from either computer.
