Is there a way to change the aspect ratio while using AirPlay with my iPhone?

Okay so I just figured out how to screen mirror to my tv without wifi(connect iPhone & tv to same wifi connection like an old router, Old phones hot spot, anything giving off a signal) & I don’t have an Apple TV, I do have the Apple TV app on my tv but I searched the settings I didn’t see anything I might’ve missed it. I got it connected no problem. The issue is the screen fit, I cannot find how to adjust it to save my life. There’s really no screen mirror settings on the iPhone 13. PLEASE HELPPP

Try to use in-app AirPlay controls, whenever available, instead of screen mirroring. That would send the base video itself, regardless of the iPhone screen aspect ratio.

The iPhone screens is probably about 19.5:9 aspect ratio — not exactly 16:9 like a TV. For screen mirroring, the difference will be padded with black. Could that be it?

Yes but i can’t figure out how to change it…. Like I said I’m doing this no Apple TV device, so I’m trying to figure out how to change the aspect ratio on my phone
