spectrum tv website with live tv not working with Safari on Mac OSX in viewing local channels

I tried finding a solution when attempting to watch Spectrum TV on my MacBook Pro (Intel) using Safari would sometimes think that I'm not on my local Spectrum WiFi network. In my case, the Google Chrome browser did work but the local channels would not broadcast using Safari.

Here is an older thread no longer active where I wanted to add to this thread what worked for me.

It seems that the privacy setting within Safari maybe blocking IP Tracking in hiding my IP Address from "Trackers and Websites". So I set this setting to hide from "Trackers only" and that seem to do the trick. There may be other better methods to solve this as I wish that viewing Spectrum TV on your local Spectrum WiFi network. This is how I have my settings that worked for me... I just wish that IP address blocking would not be used on the Spectrum TV viewing site. Or if there was a better method in Safari to allow IP tracking on trusted web sites. Perhaps there is.

On a different note, this same behavior happens that block local channels when traveling when not on your local Spectrum WiFi network. I do sort of understand the need to block the local channels when traveling outside your home as other services such as Xfinity block their entire streaming services when traveling so this is truly unfortunate. At least Spectrum supports remote viewing of non-local channels while traveling which is better than nothing. I just wish that all streaming TV service providers would not block local channels as long as one has a valid login account. This is one key reason why many are switching to other streaming services from traditional cable companies - but that is a different topic and debate.

I just wanted to share how I resolved my issue with Safari and hope it helps others.
