Apple USB SuperDrive not showing in Finder

Try opening the Disk Utility app on your Mac and see if the SuperDrive shows up there. If it does, you should be able to 'Unmount' it with the button on the top right, which should eject the disk.

If that doesn't work, restart your Mac while holding the left mouse button while it boots. This should eject it.

If all else fails, open the Terminal app and type this command, then press Return:

dsrutil eject 

Is the SuperDrive connected directly to the computer's USB port or through a hub or dock. Apple recommends a direct connection.

Another way to eject a disk is to hold down the mouse button while restarting the computer.
