I have many mail folders in my Apple Mail. However, after updating to MacOS Ventura 13.6.5, they all disappeared. I could locate the mails in those folders when using search, but the folders are nowhere to be seen. How can I retrieve them? I suspect they could all have gone into this folder called "Import" under On My Mac but I urgently need all my folders back. Any advice here is greatly appreciated.

I suppose this is not it, but... hovering near "On My Mac", does it show ">" next to it, or "V"?

Do you have Time Machine enabled? All of you emails and mailboxes are in the User/Home/Library/Mail/V10 folder:
You can try the following:
1 - go to the V10 folder in Mail.
2 - enter Time Machine
3 - go back in time to the latest date that you are sure you had all the folders and mailboxes present.
4 - select the V10 Mailbox
5 - when asked select Keep Both.
6 - move the V10 folder to the Desktop.
7 - rename the V10 (original) folder to V10.
8 - reboot and open Mail.
If all is well then you can delete the V10 folder from the Desktop.
Do you have a backup from before?
What are the contents of that import folder? Does it have subfolders possibly matching what you had before?
They used to be under "On My Mac" but mysteriously disappeared after the update. Appeared that many people have encountered similar issues after upgrading to Ventura but I'm unable to find a solution that works for me.
I've clicked these many times but there are no folders there. Only 1 folder called "import". It looks like the update has deleted all my folders and consolidated over 15,000 emails into the importer folder. How can I get the previous folders back?
Most likely the backups are on Time Machine. The import folder doesn't have any subfolders. It appeared all emails I had previously saved in the subfolders are all just consolidated inside. It will be very difficult for me to access emails which I had previously stored inside the subfolders. So i really wish to get back all my folders :(
I have checked my time machine. sadly, there were some syncing issues and a backup wasn't successfully done before i upgraded to new OS. does this mean my folders are gone forever? any other method to retrieve them?
Could it be that they are just hidden?
Are these folder "On My Mac" or were they under some IMAP or Exchange account?
