I don't know what model year my LED Apple Cinema Display is, but I had similar concerns about connecting with equipment I might use in the future. I ordered an Answin USB C to Mini DisplayPort adapter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSYBQY5D/ref=pe_386300_440135490_TE_simp_item_image). It appeared to work with my 2019 MacBook Pro. It claims to work with iPhone 15 Pro, Macs with M1 and M2, and Thunderbolt 3 / 4.
Notes: My Cinema Display has a data cable with 3 connectors: Mini DisplayPort, USB A, and what looks like a vintage magsafe power connector. I usually use it with the USB and display connectors from my 2014 mini. I connected the new adaptor to the USB-C on my macbook and the display worked fine at 1920 by ? resolution. The USB devices connected to the display did not work until I connected the display's usb-A connector to my laptop through a USB-C to USB-A-female adapter. Then the microphone, keyboard, and mouse that were attached to the display worked fine.
