Plugging iPhone in Europe without cube

I would like to purchase an adapter plug for Europe that has USB ports. Can I safely use those without the phone charger?

iPhone 6s, iOS 14

Hi,

There are so many power adapters that it is impossible to provide a general answer. I would be very careful, and only use quality devices from well-known manufacturers (one would not want to buy an adapter that delivers too high USB output voltages, or is dangerous for other reasons).

An alternative could perhaps be to bring your existing (Apple) phone power adapter (which normally can handle approx. 100-240VAC 50/60Hz input; check the label/text). In that case you would only have to add passive plug adapters for the countries you are visiting. See also https://www.iec.ch/world-plugs .
