What effect in FCPX is best or easiest to use to change pitch of a speaker a note or two?

It becomes a problem when the user is wearing earbuds. The text tone will deafen the user when they have the ring tone on max volume as preferred. Alchemy pitch bend setting isn't working The setting for pitch bend is +/-2 (as shown in the attachment). But it's moving at least 3 full octaves in either direction over the full range of the control wheel. The only other control I can find is enabling or disabling pitch bend for each individual voice. What am I missing?

The Logic effects versions of audio effects are typically superior to the Final Cut and/or MacOS versions... Try "Pitch Shifter" (also in the Voice category).
