Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" Monitor working with Mac Mini M2 at 7680 x 2160

I have a Mac Mini M2 and a Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" Monitor. How do I get it to work at 7680 x 2160 resolution with one HDMI or DisplayPort cable? I bought a USBC to DisplayPort 2.1 cable from Amazon and I couldn't get the monitor to display the 7680 x 2160 resolution. The Displays menu under System Settings does not have this resolution available to select from. Has anybody been able to get that setup working? If I use PIP with two HDMI cables each at 3840 x 2160, that works.

First, try changing the settings in your monitor to take DisplayPort 1.4 or 2.1, then restart your computer. Make sure your monitor cable is connected directly to your Mac.

If none of that works, buy BetterDisplay and use that to force the resolution. I use BetterDisplay and it helps with a ton of settings that may get it working for you right away.

I have the 57 inch Samsung Odyssey and love it. The issue I have found is that Mac OS doesnt support 5120x1440 as a HiRes or Retina (double pixel) resolution. for me 7860x2160 is too (viewable) small on this monitor, but 5120 is perfect, however I have to run it at low res. Not a huge issue, it still looks okay at a distance.
