Why does Apple Tv + have a misleading three months free offer?

On my TV I saw an offer saying three months Apple Tv + for free. After 1 week I got charged. I didn't read the email confirming the purchase, which does indeed say that I would be charged after 1 week. But then why is Apple misleading me and many others to getting this offer and then it's not actually true? I find that very annoying and manipulative. It seems that we need to read all the small prints everywhere or we're always getting screwed.

LG TV. When I went to the Apple TV app on the tv itself, the offer came up for 3 months for free. I don't know if it was because I did it on the TV itself but the terms and conditions weren't clearly shown anywhere when I clicked on it. I don't have a screenshot or photo of it because now it's already gone as I have purchased it. But had I seen it properly I might have not taken the offer.

To get the extended free trial, the new subscriber usually has to buy a product or service that qualifies them for that offer. Terms and conditions apply. The redeem procedure has to be followed from the company making the offer (not necessarily Apple), which often includes redeeming through that new product or service. Redeeming differently than described could be reason to forfeit the extended offer, and instead apply the standard 7 day trial.

On what make and model TV was that? Was it an offer from the TV manufacturer? We have no idea what you saw until you give more details.
