I have a MacBook Pro 2022 model. It has an M2 chip, and 2 TB of SSD. I’m running Sonoma, and I am up-to-date on the operating system. I have Final Cut Pro and it is also up-to-date. Yesterday the rendering was operating very quickly. Today, it takes hours to render just a few small clips. Can anybody help me?

I have the same problem with Mack Book Pro 16" 2019 purchased in 2020
Macintosh: I have 254.45 GB available.
Memory 16 GB.
I also have an external 2TB SSD that uses about 1 TB. I run FCP on this external drive
What is ETrecheck?
I am not a Tech Savy, please advise.
