I am simply trying to install and app. The app is “18 Birdies” and it is in my Apple Watch app listed under the “available apps” tab. However, when I go to install it, the wheel just spins around for a bit and then goes right back to the install optiom. And if I go to the App Store on my watch, it says that something went wrong and to try again later.

Hey boss, I got confirmation from the people at 18Birdies that some older generations of Apple Watches do not work with their app, that’s the reason that it is unable to download. If you need something else, I recommend the Golfshot app. Works generally the same as 18Birdies.
I tried to use a series 3 that I borrowed from my daughter, it did not work. It has everything to do with the OS on the watch. I think the Series 3 only goes to OS 8. The latest that is out is OS10.5. The SE will take the OS 10 update. I would go with the SE(Gen2) watch only because it is newer than the original SE and will be compatible for much longer. I ended up buying a new Series 9 watch, only because I had a series 1 that was pretty beat up anyway. Hope this helps.

The app worked just fine on my watch until it said it needed an update. Ever since the update it will not work on my watch and only spins and then says install again. Very annoying.
Did they happen to specify which models are not compatible? I have a series 3 and considering the SE but obviously don’t want to buy a completely new watch only for it to also not be compatible.
I have the SE and it doesn’t work on mine either.
