Carplay Navigation - GPS Location Inaccurate

When will CarPlay navigation be fixed?

I own a 2021 VW GTI with a MiB3 infotainment system. When my phone is not connected via Bluetooth and CarPlay, navigation in the car works as it should.

When I connect my iPhone 15 Pro with iOS 17.4 via CarPlay and/or Bluetooth, my gps signal is no longer accurate. When I turn off Bluetooth and remove my CarPlay profile, the in-car navigation seems to work.

I have tried to resolve this through VW tech support. My GPS module was replaced and have no fault codes when scanned. VW tech support has blamed Apple iOS software and said the car performs as normal. Nothing else can be done as there are no faults and hardware has been replaced.

From VW, they said the car uses the onboard GPS signal for navigation while using CarPlay. When the car's navigation signal because weak, it uses the iPhone GPS signal to supplement the location. This is the point in which VW blames Apple iOS for the problem.

From my understanding, this is how other models and manufacturers also work. The problem now seems to be with CarPlay software.

When will Apple fix this problem. I have jumped through several hoops with VW and now it appears to be Apple's problem. CarPlay navigation is completely useless at this point and very frustrated.
