new numbers for accents in accent menu

i have upgraded to sonoma 14.4 and now the numbers that I press for accents are different on the macbook keyboard.

to get oe I used to press o + 2, now it is o + 4

same for ue

anyone know how to change it back? i am currently making typos and would rather not have to re-learn the shortcuts.

I want an english input keyboard. i am using british english currently
