Is 2017 AirMac still able to receive security updates

I have a 2017 Intel based AirMac. I am currently running the latest version of Monterey. I am worried that Apple will deem my computer too old to get further security updates. I realize I am not using the latest OS but as long as my network is secure I have no pressing reason to buy a new computer.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.7

Hi dritze,

macOS Monterey is the last compatible version of macOS for your MacBook Air.

See here: macOS Ventura is compatible with these computers

However, your device will still receive security updates until Apple releases macOS 15, as it's the 3 latest macOS versions.

By the way, it's called MacBook Air, not "AirMac".

Hope that helped!
