I now never get any ringtone when I get email on my iPhone XR

I had always set my Email sound to Harp and all the other tones for phone etc all work fine.

I now get nothing on Email. I can touch the email app and then I get a single sound followed by all of my emails. I get nothing at all from email unless I actually touch the app. Only since uploading the latest software update to ios 17.4

I have gone through all the various advice including resetting the iPhone and yet it still will not tell me that I have email until i press the app on the phone. Any suggestions welcomed

Did you check Notifications? Also, you need to check the email account and make sure that your Fetch settings are up to date so Mail can check to see if you have mail. Also go into Sounds & Haptics, New Mail and check the sound setting there. There are other things you can also do with mail such as deleting the account and then adding it back again.
