Opacity Gone From FCPX

The opacity slider has gone from my FCPX. I've tried various online suggestions but no luck finding it. EG. One suggestion, open a title, then Inspector... no luck within inspector pane. On the sidebar, nothing appears when I click ADD, within effects.

Trash your settings. Hold ⌥ ⌘ as you double click the library you want to open to launch the application. A dialog appears asking you if you want to Delete Preferences. If you don't do this while double-clicking your library, just opening the application, it will open a default Untitled  library.

Post screenshots of what you’re trying to set the opacity for and where you expect to see it.
