Can't Connect MacBook Pro to Bose Soundlink Flex

I have tried every suggestion made in the community and nothing works. I have an older Bose speaker that connects just fine, and have connected the new speaker successfully to an iPhone, so I do understand how to do it. Does anyone know if Bose has any fixes for this issue?
