Pages documents corrupted on ipad

Some of my pages documents seem to be corrupted on my ipad. From the pages app, these documents appear to be greyed out and I am unable to select them. I can locate them through Files, however, when I click on them I get a black screen with the document name and “data 124 KB”.

I create these pages documents for work nearly every day. They just contain text. I have hundreds of these pages documents.

I tried following steps to restore a previous version by going to pages, clicking “select”. However, I cannot select this document in order to restore a previous version. This has happened to several of my documents. It started happening about a month ago so I’m assuming there is a bug in a recent update.

I am using an iPad Pro 11 inch, 3rd generation on IOS 17.3.1

Is there a way to recover these documents? Any explanation as to why this has happened to several random pages documents.
