Apple Pay scam

My phone was recently stolen and I got a text message to my number saying that my Apple Pay is being used in China. Is this a scam to remove my device from find my in order for the thieves to use the phone?

Text Message from Apple Pay I received a text message saying my Apple iCloud id was recently used at "APPLE STORE - CA" and that there are some suspicious sign in requests and apple pay activation requests detected. Is this a scam? They gave a bogus (I think) number to call is an 802 area code.

How do I verify and report a text claiming suspicious Apple Pay activity on iPhone? This might not be the place to ask this question… if it’s not, can someone point me in the right direction?? I reed a text claiming to be Apple just now. It says my Apple Pay acct might have been leaked and now someone is trying to charge approx $140.00 to my Apple Pay which I know is fraud because I have an iPhone but I don’t use Apple Pay.. I’d paste the msg here but I reported it as junk and it was deleted. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!p [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Mark the iPhone as lost. It’s in the screenshot you posted. Just lock it.
