Also, in addition to Bluetooth issues, the iPhone 15 has cellular connectivity issues. I’m on Verizon and live in the middle of Dallas and one day could not make a phone call, not even emergency calls. I zipped up to my local Verizon store and they said over 20 people had come in all with iPhone 15s who had the same problem. Verizon reset my cellular connection and it fixed it but this shows us there are major connectivity and quality issues with the iPhone 15 on Bluetooth and cellular.

OK, my bluetooth does not work with my hi fi. I mentioned that another iPhone does work with it already so I guess there may be millions of them out there that also work with my hi fi but neither of us knows that for sure! A quick scan of these threads confirms many folks have similar issues with their 15 Pro's. As I mentioned, I have tried every proposed solution.

As someone who had this issue, I think I found a work around, not really a true fix.

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone > Turn everything off except the app you plan to test with

Test and see if you have problems.

If you still have issues, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Bluetooth > Turn off everything except the app you plan to test with.

I only have Spotify & Teams enabled at this point and have stopped having issues. It seems to be some jacked up implementation of Bluetooth Microphone and the hardware inside causing the issue.

If you want more context on how I ended up here, I took my phone to apple. They tested and couldn't find anything wrong, but replaced the insides of the phone anyway. I didn't even make it back to my house before having more problems. So it is obvious this is a software issue of some sort.

Last week, I was listening to music and switching between Temu and my Amazon apps and my airpods would cut out for a half second. That is when I started investigating turning off the microphone, the minute i turned them off, I could switch between apps without the cut out. Magically, my Bluetooth cut out issues stopped as well.

Four weeks ago, I traded in my working perfectly iPhone 13 Pro for the current iPhone 15 Pro. Blue Tooth will recognize my earbuds and automatically connect. However, my iPhone 15 refuses to recognize my Bose portable speaker. I have to manually connect to my 15 Pro each time I want to use it. Minor issue but frustrating. And recently, the 15 Pro did not recognize my BMW and I had to manually connect. Further, yesterday my 15 Pro seemed to have "forgotten" my Verizon internet router. And yes, I had to manually connect it to my 15 Pro. Brought the phone back to the Verizon store. The technician looked at my phone and said there was nothing wrong with it. Then brought my phone to the Apple Store. They ran a diagnostic on my phone and could also find nothing wrong with it. But I tell you, there is something wrong. Hardware or software, I don't know. BUT wish I hadn't turned in my 13 Pro. It worked perfectly. Anyway, I asked the Apple Store if anyone else has complained about the 15 Pro with regard to WiFi or Blue Tooth. Of course they said no issues.

I’ve resolved my Bluetooth issues with my iPhone 15 Pro…sort of. Issues were skipping and pausing while streaming to my car and to my Bose Quietcomfort headphones.

I tried all the suggestions like turning off Bluetooth for apps as the idea was other apps were interfering. I tried changing streaming quality. I reset my phone to factory. No luck. I didn’t have these issues until Apple updated my phone shortly after I bought it.

I took it to Apple and they replaced the guts of my phone. No luck. Issue just as bad.

I experimented with turning off various handoff settings and then evaluated if my Apple Watch Series 7 was somehow complicit, as others have reported.

I turned off Bluetooth on my Apple Watch and the problem seems to have disappeared. If I turn Bluetooth back on I get the same issue. Audio was skipping so bad in my car and then everything was pristine immediately after turning Bluetooth off.

I’ll be returning to the Apple Store to report the current workaround. I don’t expect them to do much, but at a minimum it’s unacceptable that I have to turn my Apple Watch Bluetooth off to stream. It kills much of its utility. We shall see what they do.
