Freezing issue on iPhone after iOS 17.4.1 update

Ever since I updated to 17.4.1 my phone is more useless than a dial up computer from the 90’s.

Almost every app freezes, and I can’t access my emails anymore.

Has anyone figured out a solution to this mess?

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. App freezing and email issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

this will solve all the problems:

Go to Settings  > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Prepare your content and settings to transfer to a new iPhone: Tap Get Started, then follow the onscreen instructions. When you finish, return to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone, then tap Erase All Content and Settings.
    • Erase all of your data from iPhone: Tap Erase All Content and Settings.

Support will never know how to solve your problem if you have too many problems. So make a backup of your iPhone before proceeding with a reset. Resetting will solve all problems.

I have absolutely no such issues after iOS 17.4.1. Do the Forced Restart as already advised and make that procedure something you do after EVERY iOS update.
