Files app - why no Settings or Options in iOS?

The "Files" app -

Why is there no Settings or Options to do anything with it in the Settings in the iOS or anywhere else in iOS, including inside iCloud ID options, for example?

What if I don't want the Files app to automatically Sync with my desktop? Why does it do that automatically anyway, and why is there no options setting to prevent it from Syncing?

You would have to ask Apple why they don't provide selective synchronisation.

If you don't tap on the file in Files app the data will not be sync'd, it only shows place markers (with a cloud symbol). If it is sync'd you can remove the download to save space.
