Apple Maps on IPhone doesn’t return to landscape view when resuming after stanby mode

when driving I prefer to use landscape mode to view Apple Maps, but on thing I’ve notice is that after resuming from stanby mode, it doesn’t return to landscape view and keeps in portrait mode.

just the very some question from 2017, and the answer from Apple just refers the adjustment to block or unblock view mode, which is not the case…

can you help?

Maps doesn't reappear on iOS 26 Lock Screen Since I have updated to iOS26, Maps appears on the lock screen, but once I black it out, it does not reappear for directions. Prior to updating to iOS26, I could black out the screen and Maps would illuminate anytime a direction was coming up and then it would black out. Now if its blacked out, I have to illuminate the screen and my location on Maps is not accurate. It takes a few seconds to get caught up on my location. Apple Maps in CarPlay Ever since mid-December, Apple Maps in CarPlay gets locked into 3D and close zoom Apple Maps works fine on the iPhone, the overview icon in the upper right hand corner works, and pinch to zoom in and out functionality works But in CarPlay, there is virtually no touch screen functionality overview touchscreen button in upper right hand corner doesn't work clicking on the minus zoom out button either yields no change or often it zooms in and one can't get into 2D mode (it seems 3D is locked into hyper-zoom) Any ideas? I simply want the overview and zoom out functionality restored in the CarPlay version of Apple Maps
