can't send text messages to Android users from my MacBook Air

about 3/17/24, text messages sent to Android users from my MacBook Air showed as "not delivered," even though I'd successfully communicated with these users prior to this date.

However, texts from my iPhone to Android users go though just fine

MacBook Air M2 unable to receive/send text messages from Android devices. I am setting up my new MacBook Air (M2). I can only send and receive text messages from apple devices. When I text a contact with an android phone, it won't send. I am signed into my new Air with the same Apple ID as I have on my phone (and I see that I need to be sure the Message Forwarding on my phone is set to my new computer). My phone does not have a Messaging Forwarding option. I am running 15.6 iOS. Any suggestions.

Can't send a text from M2 MacBook Air to Android phones I recently got an M2 MacBook Air to replace a 2014 MacBook Pro. I also have a 2018 Mac Mini. For some reason, I get "Not Delivered" whenever I use iMessage on the M2 Air to send a text to an Android phone. I can send the same text to the same phone on the Mac Mini, as well as my iPhone and iPad. I've checked the Preferences tabs on both the Mini and the M2 Air, and the settings are identical. Both are running MacOS Monterey 12.6. I have no issues sending a text to other iPhones. What's going on?
