Your iPhone is locked to another carrier and therefore your current carrier was unable to install its eSIM. The thing is that you will have to find out which carrier is the iPhone locked to. Once that portion is identified, then you can contact that carrier and ask for the necessary steps to get your iPhone unlocked so that you can use it with other carriers.

Question: When you purchased this iPhone from a Kiosk, then is there a carrier mentioned anywhere on the package or the receipt? If there is, then that is the carrier that the iPhone is locked to.
