Websites freezing with 17.4.1 update

My iPad (9th gen) and iPhone (SE2020) are both failing to load websites properly since the 17.4.1 update. Sites will just freeze while loading and I’m unable even to scroll up/down the page.

I’ve restarted both devices several times, closed all tabs, cleared history, checked for further updates, restarted again, etc.

I’m really not tech-savvy and have no idea what to try or why this might be happening. I’d appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

iPad, iPadOS 17

If you are experiencing difficulties with both your iPad and iPhone, this may suggest a problem with cached website data that is shared between devices. Try clearing all website data:

Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data

After clearing Website Data, restart both devices:

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Force restart iPad - Apple Support
