How to organize Photo Library by Date on Mac?
how do I get our photo files or automatically re-arrange themselves by date. If I open a photo, click on the little i inside a circle to bring up the info about that photo, the photo will already have a date, but that is the date the photo was entered into our photo collection. It may not represent the actual date the photo was taken. In the upper right corner of the info "card", the first line is where i will put the description about the photo. Exa: Joe and Friends. The second line is a number prior to the description of the type of photo. Exa: img820.jpeg. The next line has the date that the photo was entered into our collection (we have scanned numerous old photos and they show the date they were scanned into our library). If I was to change that date to show the year first, followed by the month and then the date; go to image and hit ADJUST DATE & TIME - once I have done this to all the photos in our library and hit VIEW and then SORT - will the computer automatically re-arrange all of our thousands of photos according to the year, and then the month and finally
the day? For multiple photos that need the same day, can I assign a letter, a, followed by the next photo being 1950, June 24b etc. Thanks for your suggestions
