2017 15” MacBook Pro has horizontal lines and burned-in images

I purchased my 15” MacBook Pro in Sept. 2017. Recently, it has been having some major screen glitches, mainly horizontal lines across the entire display as well as images that appear to be burned into the screen (ie phantom images of previously opened windows). Admittedly, these are not the first issues I have had with this computer— all but one of the ports don’t work, my battery life is sub-optimal, my keyboard sticks, there was one instance where my laptop simply wouldn’t turn on for 6 months, and it pretty much will spontaneously shut down and restart “due to an error” at least once per day— but this latest issue is somehow more concerning because my laptop will be rendered unusable if the display totally crashes. Does anyone have any ideas for things I can try to fix it? I really don’t have the money to pay for repairs or buy a new laptop.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.13

this looks to me like a hardware issue.

You can plug in an external display and compare your results. Typically horizontal lines would point to GPU /screen buffer /display-generator — this would be reflected on an external monitor as well. A good test.

Hardware issues can not be resolved on line here, or w/ software remedies...

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment
