iPhone 14 Pro Wireles Carplay no longer autoconnecting to Kenwood DDX9020DABS

My Kenwwod head unit and iPhone have been Wirelessly carplaying for more than 18mths. ~Two weeks ago this failed with Wireless Carplay not connecting. Wired (USB direct) works and re-initialising the Kenwood and deleting entries in the iphone then starting again resolved it. Now it has occurred again.

It feels like this is an issue introduced in a recent update. Kenwood do not have any firmware updates available for this model. At the time of purchase it was the Kenwood Dual DIN touch screen high-end car entertainment head-unit in their range. Australian Kenwood tech support are currenlty advising to re-initiate.

I'll tire of that right about now. Please advise.
