I've been told "within the next 2 weeks" since early February. Now I'm hearing that they're telling people "by the end of May". Not sure which year though. Absolute BS. I have zero faith that it will be released by the end of May 2024 either given that they've lied about this the entire time.

I upgraded from the Ryker to the Spyder due in part to the screen and Apple Carplay. I tour a lot across Europe and sold all my quad lock mounting gear with the Ryker as I wouldnt need to mount anything on the Spyder due to the screen. The dealer (Who have been excellent) didnt mantion the issue until I contacted them after delivery and seeing it didnt work. BRP have responded to me with the following:

Regretfully, we have to say that for the moment there is no ETA for when this is going to be available. We suggest staying in touch with your local dealership and or take a look at our website for updates on a regular basis.

I go on my first tour in two weeks and im now finding myself looking at spending over £100 on mounts with wireless charging.

I do feel that BRP have misled people as there are plenty of Youtube videos out there of them demonstrating it and saying how good it is... was that all a lie on a mockup device?

Why also does it tell you how to use Apple Carplay on the BRP website, with full instructions and saying all compatible carplay apps will work on it?

@NJLocoman, they have been demoing ACP working for 9 months now. It was never included on any 2024 shipped to customers. A factory reset won't do anything because the feature is simply not included in the current firmware.

It did get released for about 4 hours 2 months ago, I actually had it for a day. Then they pulled the update and pushed the original firmware out to those who had it and of course that removed ACP as well.

From what I understand Apple does not charge to license ACP, so not sure how that could be the problem. Probably BRP's implementation was so craptastic that they had to pull it due to bugs and they still can't make it work right.

I have all but given up on seeing ACP this riding season, if ever. Probably why they are offering us $500 or a year extra warranty because they know it's not coming anytime soon, if ever. I haven't read the fine print, but I suspect if you take the offer it also absolves them from any future liability via the court system as well.

No. By now you should have gotten a letter from Can-Am/BRP offering you an additional year of B.E.S.T. warranty or $500 credit towards Can-Am merch. This is good until the end of the year. If you bought after 5/20, it's only good until such time as ACP comes out. I wouldn't hold my breath for it to be forthcoming anytime soon. I've already given up on seeing it this year.

The dealers really do not know anything. My dealer has no idea what's going on or what the issue is. It's doubtful a license issue as Apple does not charge to license ACP in the first place. The latest email I got from BRP in response to my monthly complaint emails states:

We are working directly with Apple to fix the communication issue between the two platforms.
At this time, we still have not be given a time for completion.

Dealers are mostly clueless and in the dark about this issue like the rest of us.

This looks like more BS from BRP.

"We are working directly with Apple to fix the communication issue between the two platforms.
At this time, we still have not be given a time for completion."

That had a working guage cluster set up with a working ACP at the trade shows last year.
And had it working enough to release it to updates.
And from what I have read on other forums, it worked before it was rolled back.
So your guess is as good as mine.
From what I have seen is a working APC on a guage cluster at a trade show, but it was just the handle bars and screen, no frame of the spyder.
Then watched a video of a complete spyder at a trade show, but they never shows a working ACP.

Well today I downloaded ACP and tested it all out and it seems to work like it’s supposed to. Paired my Cardo to the bike and plugged my phone in and made calls listened to music, even used Siri to send a text. Apple Maps came up too so will do more testing tomorrow. I had to give the bike a hotspot from my phone as the wifi outside was taking to long to download. Will see how it works on the road.

I have had poor luck with phone calls too, as well as having text messages read back. Once I try to do any of those things the system basically falls apart. I have to unplug my phone and plug it back in to get things to work again.

There are a lot of moving pieces here, multiple BT connections, etc. It doesn't help that Can-AM has published nothing on the best way to connect all of this up to make it work correctly. We're all just guessing as to how this should work.
