Issue with SecureClient App on MacBook

Hello all,

I have a question. Sometimes, I need to use an app called 'SecureClient.' While using that app, it always pops up in full screen, and I cannot use any other apps simultaneously. However, I need access to, for example, email. Is there any way I can force my MacBook to open another app or minimize that app?

Most Apps that open in full screen can reveal the menubar with a simple escape (ESC) key, and reveal the outside floating translucent bar known as the dock. Once you can click on the Finder icon (the happy Picasso face), that will reveal the primary file navigator for the machine you are on, not the machine you are remoted into.

From there you can open applications and Mail. I suspect SecureClient if not a VPN is a Remote Desktop onto another computer. Otherwise it would give you full access to your computer.

SecureClient sounds like a VPN. A VPN limits your internet access to the server picked by the SecureClient software so you tunnel into their their firewall and that limits internet access to all applications while connected to VPN.

Disconnect secure client to access any email that is not registered with a school or business.

Contact the school or business administrator if you use a VPN with them to allow access for specific email, or see if you can reach the email via a webmail page instead, which is independent of the Mac OS Mail app.

Contact the email account vendor for specific IMAP settings to setup Mac OS Mail if you don't have a VPN.
