iPhone 13 Pro rear camera keeps freezing

I had the same issue, also a 13 Pro.

First thought it was caused by the upgrade to ios 17.5.1.

I tried a lot of things such as restart the camera app and restarting the iPhone.

At last resetting the iPhone to initial status. Reinstall a backup of a week earlier, before this issue.

Then the camera worked fine again.

But now, after a week, the problem showed up again.

By accident I found that Norton 360 (yes I use it on all my devices) was not yet configured correctly after the reinstallation. After doing that the camera works fine again! Why?????

Have you tried a forced restart?

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button.
4. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

My phones camera (13 pro) has also started freezing for absolutely no reason. Which is great since I've taken excellent care of the thing and this appears to be happening to so many people it's clearly not my fault. I didn't pay this much for a device for it to not be dependable, especially since I'm continually being harassed by police officers and I really actually need the camera to function correctly while my rights are being violated. Great work.

Mine has been freezing randomly since that last update too. Restarting the phone fixes the issue for a little bit then it does it again.

Mine does exactly the same and nothing seems to fix it. This is the worst phone I’ve had 😔

I am having the same problem. Tried all of the fixes above. Works for a bit then then the problems returns. Was never an issue until after the last update.

Did you ever get a resolution on this? I’m dealing with the same thing…
