I have an iMac 27 (Late 2013) but its getting slow now.
Graphics info for old iMac - NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1 GB
Would it be possible to use this a display unit for mac mini?

That iMac supports Target Display Mode. But no current Mac supports using any iMac as a Target Display. You'll need a standalone monitor for a new Mini.

Not possible, unfortunately - requires a standalone computer monitor.

A new Mac mini will need an aftermarket external display or an Apple display if you are loaded with $$s.
