Iphone sound is not working in some places (ring, messages, etc) even though its all the wag up and on everywhere.
Its not in any sort of sleep mode, the volume is up, everything is tirned on in settings, youtube videos have sound, whatsapp status does not unless i change volume a tick up or down (this never used to be the case and its not muted either).
I tried shutting off the phone several times, no go.

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this issue and its fix, if you don't report it to them.
Sorry to hear this. I have same problem on an iphone 15 (<1month old). Did all the stuff recommended by users and Apple. As suggested by Apple Genius tech, I reset my phone from new. Was better for a while BUT it seems to be getting worse again.
I'd done force reset and still the same. Have logged error on Apple Feedback site as well.
Hope someone out in the community has an answer soon.

Having had to erase all my contents and data and start from scratch without resolving the problem, I just gave up. I have however seen in another thread someone mentioned bluetooth.
Seems that this may work. 1) I sometimes don't have sound coming from a youtube video (that does have sound), it seems that Bluetooth hangs onto a prior connection i.e when sitting in my car that has not been turned on, I swipe to the control centre and it shows that the car's bluetooth has the sound. 2) Same when using iphone for call, Bluetooth hangs onto the fact that I had used my earbuds. Even if the earbuds are no longer in use. 3) have also tested the keyboard clicking issue and this partially explains the problem.
Conclusion-the problem is a software problem from Apple on Bluetooth
