How do I clear the balance on my Apple ID?

So I am trying to find a way or get some help on how to get a refund on my Apple account. I have added money to it, thinking I was going to use it, but ended up not using it. I don’t think I will be using it and for sure will be closing it soon, but I want to make sure I get my money refunded back. I have noticed that reading the policy and it has brought up that the funds are non useable or non refundable? So what if I want to close it? Will I get my money back?

Contact Apple directly as there is no way on your device to transfer funds out of your Apple Account. If you do cancel your Apple ID, which is the only way to remove your Apple Account, then make sure you sign out of your device first, otherwise you will not longer be able to use your password to remove the Apple ID from your device.

Any unused credit balance in your account isn't redeemable or refundable after your Apple ID has been deleted. You can either spend your balance or contact Apple Support to request a refund before deleting your account.
