I am trying to install a TobenOne UDS020P Docking station to my Macbook Pro M1 andthe instant view app does not automatically pop up. I tried to download the software from their website and got an error message. Any advice? Thank you!

Apple does not make a docking station. They left that as an accessory item for developers to create and market themselves. in that case, typically they will then not pick a winner, they let the market decide.

Since I do not work for Apple, I am free to tell you that Other World Computing

https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/docks

is a Mac-centric vendor that prides itself on acquiring, marketing and SUPPORTING add-ons that are Mac-friendly. They don't sell anything that require a lot of 'fiddling'

Docks that can support up to two (up to 4k) display are sold as genuine ThunderBolt docks, and feature the trademark-controlled Thunderbolt symbol.

There is al least one dock on the market that accept signals from TWO adjacent MacBook Pro ThunderBolt ports on the Left side, and can potentially support more devices that way.

Displays a lot larger than 4K may require their own individual cable, because they use up almost all of a thunderbolt cable bandwidth for that one large display.
