Mail won't open on Mac Pro 2018 12 hours after Sonoma 14.4.1 update

Suddenly today after upgrading yesterday I can not open my Mac mail (version 16.0) while using my Mac Pro 2018. Not sure what to do... help.

OS X 10.11.16 Mail won't open Older iMac running OS X 10.11.6. Everything was working fine, suddenly today I downloaded a lot of email to the Mail app, it quit, and now won't reopen, even after restarting. Application quits as soon as it's started. HUH? Mail Hard to Open I'm using a iMac 21.5-inch, with OS X El Capitan ver. 10.11.6, which has Version 9.3 Mail. Lately, I am finding difficult opening mail. I have to force quit several times even before it opens. Its only been happening in the last 6 months. I'm not tech savvy, but can I download a later ver. of Mail. Any Ideas. Thanks Guys

Mail Immediately Shuts Down when Started I have an older iMac running El Capitan. Mail has been working flawlessly since I upgraded to El Capitan over a year ago. Yesterday, mail crashed when downloading mail and now it immediately shuts down every time it is started. The iMac was rebooted in Safe Mode with no change in the result. Any idea of the next steps? Is it possible to reload mail without reloading the entire OS?
