Securely delete trash - Older provision
We use to have the option to securely delete trash on Mac. That option is now gone. Is there a way to do this now or a work around?

"Secure empty trash" was never able to accomplish what its name implied, regardless of its storage medium. For a brief explanation read Where is the "secure empty trash" button… - Apple Community
If you are using the MacBook Air and macOS version described in your profile information, its data are already encrypted in hardware. There is no way to circumvent it, and any "secure empty trash" routine could not possibly improve upon it. It would however accelerate hardware failure.
