Apple Watch not synchronizing contacts

I just got an ultra 2 Apple Watch. I hooked it up to my phone. Everything works fine except the contacts it has not synchronized them so it’s just the numbers I’ve tried resetting sync data that didn’t work. Does anyone know what the solution to this problem would be?
