BMW won't connect Apple Carplay by Bluetooth

Just a quick note I could not connect my Phone to the BMW system and tried everything. Resetting the BMW IDrive system and phone. Hard resets for both Phone and Car and even had BMW dealer look at it. It turned out that the phone was connected by WIFI to the DRIECT BMW***** WIFI network of the car itself. Not sure if the password was incorrect or the connection was causing a conflict. Anyway once I deleted this connection and then made sure all Bluetooth connections 'had been forgotten' it worked.
